Reese is a
girly girl through and through. She loves to carry around her baby dolls, and once she has them, she won't let them out of her sight! She even wants to hold them while she is eating her dinner in her high chair (I am seriously considering getting another one for the doll, less messy that way). Reese's favorite baby doll lives at Grandma Gee
Gee's house. Somehow Reese managed to get out of Gee
Gee's house with the doll and it stayed at our house for a week...and as soon as Reese woke up in the morning, she had to have her doll before she could even think about having a bottle or breakfast!
Reese has also really gotten into playing dress-up lately. Sometimes when Michael gets her out of bed in the morning, he puts on her tutu while she is still in her pajamas. It kills me every time! My Granny also sent Reese a pink scarf that she knitted and Reese loves to wear it around the house and hold it up to her face to feel it's softness on her cheeks.
Like any
girly girl, Reese loves to shop! She especially loves to walk around the big open stores and see if Mommy can keep up. She even likes to go around the different racks and find dresses that she thinks are pretty. Then she likes to carry them (with the hanger) around the store.
If you ask me, I'd say she has pretty good taste!
(This is not completely related, but did you know that
Ikea has baby seats in their bathroom stalls? I'm not talking about baby changing stations either--and not only in their handicap stalls.
Ikea has baby seats that pull down from the back of the door in each of their stalls.
Genius! When I saw it, I had to have Reese give it a try. At first she wasn't quite sure what to think about it...
...but when she saw that I was taking her picture, she knew just what to do!
What a ham!
In the last couple of weeks, Reese has become very opinionated about what she wants to wear everyday. One day she found her pink puffy vest in the dirty clothes basket and she had to put it on right away. When I tried to take it off to change her diaper and get her dressed for the day, Reese threw a fit! She had to wear her vest for the entire day! And the next morning, when she found her vest back in the dirty clothes basket, she insisted on wearing it again! Luckily, I got it away from her long enough to wash it.
A couple days later, we were getting dressed in her room and I had already got her shirt on. I pulled a pair of pink pants out of her drawer and when I closed the drawer, Reese freaked out. She walked over to the drawer and I opened it for her thinking maybe she just wanted to pull all of her pants out, one by one (this is one of Reese's favorite games). She reached inside, pulled out her jean mini skirt and handed it to me. I guess she didn't want to wear the pink pants after all! I didn't think little girls were supposed to get picky about what they wear until they are at least two! yikes.
Isn't this just precious? Reese loves to put her feet up on her bumper when she sleeps.
